Here's the second version of my blackletter typeface concept. You can compare the changes to [link] .

Most notably I made the ends of all vertical strokes more edgy and aggressive-looking. In order to not look too spikey and symmetrical I introduced a slight roundness to the upper right of most characters. Especially the capital letters show that feature. They are closer to what I originally intended.

Another major redesign appears in the letters g and y; they only have a single inner space. Of course there are also minor modifications to a lot of characters. One might say this is a different concept all together because it moved so far from its predecessor. However, it directly evolved from it and I'm happy with the result.

As you can see, I'm far from done with my work. There are a lots of details I'm not satisfied yet and a lot of special characters and the numerals are all missing still. Alternatives to certain characters are presented in grey.

Please feel free to comment if you have any constructive criticism or ideas/ suggestions as to what could be changed. I hope I can eventually release a usable font from this.

I like this one too.
I think I'll give you a bit criticism if you don't mind.
In my opinion the difference between the little o and the little v is not high enough. And the z is really hard to read. Maybe you should work on the little k to.
I also think the round forms off your grey sketches don't really fit. Except the Z, I like the grey sketch more.
Another question: what is the thing between the little r and the little s?

I really hope we can expect a download because I really like the font and your work. I could need them for my work too XD

I hope you can understand me, because my english isn't quite good. Ask me if you didn't.

I hope I could help you a bit, keep up the work.
Thank you for the input, some additional opinions always help.

As for the letters: In general I think for the finalised version I'll go for a couple more variations in the angles that dominate this typeface. That will certainly help telling them apart more easily, especially the v and o. The lower case z is actually a bit of a 'black sheep" to this font concept. The grey letters are meant as variations or other possible ways to design certain letters. As you can see from from the ß abd tz versions the z doesn't really want to play along. I think in an early version I had a little hook in it but it ruined the balance and weight.

As for the letter between the r and the round s, it's the regular s or long s (ſ;), long since forgotten by most people as it's not used in latin scripts. My heart bleeds every time I see written fraktur (usually on food items) with the wrong s.

The lower case k is supposed to be that t-like fraktur-k with a loop, I just lowered the horizontal bar so it'll be more apparent to the untrained eye that it is indeed a k.

I hope I can finish this soon, the main parts that are missing still are the numerals and special characters. Once vectorised it'll be easier to iron out those little angle issues.
Striking and aggressive- very fond of this one, sah.

Why thank you. I should really finish the second redesign and the numerals... everything seems to be half-done.
